Glass fiber reinforced plastic grille is a kind of unsaturated polyester resin (including m-benzene, o-benzene, vinyl, phenolic and bisphenol A) as the matrix and glass fiber roving as the skeleton. It is woven and molded on a metal mold or hand-pasted and then integrally molded by heating. The product has a smooth and beautiful appearance, high internal quality and glass fiber content of more than 30% (weight percentage). Therefore, we should pay attention to the following points when using it:
1.由于密度低、材质轻，在地下水位高的地区安装玻璃钢格栅容易上浮，需要考虑设置桥墩或分流雨水径流等抗浮措施。
2.在已安装好的玻璃钢格栅上开三通、修补管道裂缝的施工中，要求有类似厂房的完全干燥条件，施工中使用的树脂和纤维布需要固化7-8小时，但现场施工和修补一般很难满足这一要求。
3.现有的地下管线探测设备主要探测金属管线，而非金属管线探测仪器价格昂贵，所以玻璃钢格栅埋设后无法探测，其他后续施工单位在施工时容易挖掘损坏管线。
4.玻璃钢格栅抗紫外线能力差。外露的玻璃钢格栅通过在其表面做0.5mm厚的富树脂层和紫外线吸收剂(工厂加工)来延缓老化时间。随着运行时间的推移，富树脂层和紫外线吸收剂会被破坏，影响其使用寿命。玻璃钢格栅放置好后，要用玻璃钢固定钳固定，防止因横向移动和位移而晃动。
