水处理用磁粉是在重介质粉的基础上加入了其他的超强磁性物，其配合絮凝剂聚合氯化铝在废水处理中能够起到快速絮凝，沉淀的作用，广泛适用于煤矿污水，洗煤废水，冶金、石油等行业废水的油类污染物的快速处理。磁粉具有巨大的比表面积和表面自由能，表面活性很高。它不仅对水中杂质有很好的吸附效应，它还能渗透到所有的絮凝体中并强化絮凝体的网状结构，同时有效增大絮体的比表面积，使其牢固而不易破碎，有利快速的固液分离和提高污泥的干化度。有很强的磁吸絮凝特征。水处理磁粉能大幅削减水中COD、色度（60%以上）等污染物，对病毒、细菌也有显著去除效果。在去除磷、重金属离子、SS、COD等污染物过程中，利用表面活性点位的氧化、吸附、表面电荷络合作用，实现污染物从水相中分离，固化，从而使水体得以净化。磁粉还可以多次循环回收，重复使用。

微磁聚凝剂简介
微磁聚凝剂是水溶性的高分子聚合物， 主要用于各种工业废水的絮凝沉降，沉淀澄清处理，如钢铁厂废水，电镀厂废水，冶金废水，洗煤废水等污水处理、污泥脱水等。由于其分子链中含有一定数量的极性基团，它能通过吸附水中悬浮的固体粒子，使粒子间架桥或通过电荷中和使粒子凝聚形成大的絮凝物，故可加速悬浮液中粒子的沉降，有非常明显的加快溶液澄清，促进过滤等效果。
微磁聚凝剂由于它具有：
1、澄清净化作用；
2、沉降促进作用；
3、过滤促进作用；
4、增稠作用及其它作用。
在废液处理、污泥浓缩脱水、选矿、洗煤、造纸等方面，能够充分满足各种领域的要求。
煤厂对煤泥水的处理一般情况下采用“旋流器-浓缩机-压滤机（煤泥沉淀池）”处理工艺。一般情况下都是采购机高分子絮凝剂。高分子絮凝剂与煤泥微粒或煤泥胶体接触作用，中和了煤泥表面的电性，降低表面能，使煤泥微粒凝聚沉淀。不同粒度组成的煤泥水要选用不同分子量的絮凝剂。在使用微磁聚凝剂进行水处理的时候，要保证类型与煤泥水的pH值相吻合，微磁聚凝剂的适于偏碱性煤泥水。
