近年来，崆峒区政府主动适应经济发展新常态，不断加大信息公开力度，持续努力打造阳光政府、服务型政府。先后开通了微博(人民网微博、腾讯微博、新华网微博、新浪微博)和“崆峒发布”微信公众平台。
通过微博及时转发中央、省市的重要信息、文件和政策，发布崆峒区的重大决策和公告。同时，通过微博与网民建立互动，及时收集网民的诉求和意见建议。截至目前，已有7700余条信息通过微博转发和分发。
“崆峒发布”微信公众平台设置了崆峒地区形势、政策文件、公告、服务指南、留言、建言献策等板块。市民可使用手机扫描二维码或添加微信微信官方账号(“崆峒发布”或kongtongfabu)进入平台。通过微信平台，市民足不出户就能全面了解党的方针政策和政府的工作动态，同时还可以通过语音、文字等多种方式向微信平台发送个人诉求和建议，有效畅通了服务渠道。
