考勤机是公司用来记录员工上下班的工具，包括打卡、指纹、人脸识别。考勤机分为两类:简单打印，打卡时直接将原始记录数据打印在卡上，卡上记录的时间就是原始考勤信息，初次使用无需任何事先培训即可使用；第二类是存储。打卡时，原始记录数据直接存入考勤机，然后由计算机收集汇总，再经软件处理，形成或查询或打印所需的考勤信息。考勤信息灵活丰富，初次用户需要提前做一些培训，逐步掌握其所有功能。

考勤机的类型和优点:
1、机械打孔机(机电结合)
优点:简单直观，不需要计算机知识，价格相对较低(办公用品商店有售)，适用范围:100人以下，环境较好的单位；
2、磁卡考勤机:
优点:考勤数据可由电脑统计；
适用范围:卫生环境好，人员素质高的场所(多用于门禁，银行等。);
3、ic卡考勤机:大致和磁卡一样，IC卡插座比较脆弱；
4.条形码考勤机:条形码考勤机和磁卡的用法是一样的:
优点:光电读取条形码，故障率低；
5、感应卡考勤机:
优点:非接触式读卡，无卡磨损，无错码；
6、机器:
优点:不用卡，解决打卡问题；
7.天眼彩虹考勤机:理想的考勤机；
优点:利用人的眼睛特征识别不同的人，以非接触的方式识别人的特征，识别速度快。
