自2016年以来，国电南自已完成建设并正在实施共23个地方试点项目，包括3个500千伏试点项目、15个220千伏试点项目和5个110千伏试点项目。其中，2017年11月20日投运的山西运城220千伏夏县成为全国首个220千伏全类型就地保护试点工程；2018年5月8日投运的浙江杭州110kV鱼塘，成为全国首个全类型就地保护试点的室内GIS变电站。原位保护试点项目充分展示了国电南自在新产品研发、工程设计和现场服务方面的技术实力，项目的顺利实施离不开制造、生产调试、产品验证、项目管理、工程技术等部门的帮助和支持。
On May 12, 2018, Guodian Nanzi 500kV local protection device was successfully put into operation in Changsha Xingcheng Substation. The local protection devices of Xingcheng transformer include line protection, distributed transformer protection and distributed bus protection. The complete set of equipment and overall solution are provided by Guodian Nanzi. Xingcheng Substation is the first 500kV substation in Hunan Province to adopt in-situ protection scheme, and it is also a pilot project of 500kV full-type in-situ protection products put into operation by Guodian Nanzi.
