Corrosion-resistant glass rotameter is mainly used to detect the flow of corrosive liquid and gas medium, such as strong acid and alkali, oxidant, strong oxidizing acid, organic solvent and other corrosive gas or liquid medium. The main measuring elements of the glass rotor flowmeter are a vertically installed conical glass tube with a lower part and a larger part and a float that can move up and down inside.

1.测量的对象。即测量介质的类型、压力和化学性质。如液体介质和气体介质，腐蚀性介质应选用耐腐蚀流量计。
2.流量计本身的性能。一般来说，以上条件确定后，如果价格没有大的变化，可以优先选择放在流量计上部的针阀；如果有大流量孔，直接标定；结构简单；较小的外部尺寸等等。如果是小流量范围，可以选择球浮式，因为它稳定，不易积尘，精度高，互换性好。
3.根据价格选择。一般来说精度高的价格高。应根据测量目的选择仪器的精度等级。如果只需要控制测量介质的通过量，试运行调整后需要一直稳定通过量，那么精度是次要的。
4.当流体自下而上流过锥形管时，流体的动能产生的升力S和流体的浮力A使浮子上升。当升力S和浮力A之和等于浮子本身的重力G时，浮子处于平衡状态，稳定在一定高度，锥管上的刻度表示流体的流量值。
